A recent business trip to Toronto had us asking: where’s the best place to stay, to create a functional work environment and faciliate meetings? The answer: the Fairmont Royal York hotel.
A central location on Front Street in downtown Toronto meant it was a cinch not only to access rides and transit (not to mention, walk) to various appointments, but also to have clients come to us. The Royal York boasts a beautiful lobby lounge, baker/coffee shop and restaurant to faciliate all types of meetings, morning, noon and evening. Rooms are ultra comfortable, with ample work spaces (our suite had a large desk, free wireless Internet that was easy to connect to, and—key—plenty of outlets to plug in our many devices. The TV offered a handy wake-up/alarm option, and friendly and fast room service meant we could work through meals in our room.
There’s a great fitness centre and pool at the hotel, too, though this busy trip didn’t allow us much time to enjoy those facilities. Still, without question, we will choose to stay at the Fairmont Royal York for every future business trip to Toronto; it’s a no brainer (even if work take a little more thought than that)! —Vita Daily
