3 Nonstop Flights To Paradise

October 30, 2023

We’ve already planned the itinerary for your well-deserved winter escape. Board the flight and fall into a few hours of much needed rest, where in-flight beverages are encouraged. The pilot will be your wake-up call, welcoming the plane as it rolls onto a sun-baked tarmac and announcing days of clear skies. With a carry-on packed with just shorts and sandals, roll onto the nearest boardwalk and see your dream from the flight become reality. Three destinations below manifest this visionary travel day itinerary, offering non-stop flights from home to heaven. —Julia Dumbrell

Your dreams of travelling to Fiji aren’t as far away as you may think. Just over 10 hours from Vancouver, the red eye flight transforms business class into a flying bed and breakfast. Drop your pin on one of the destination’s 330 islands, as grounding relaxation and adventure are promised from Natadola Beach to Malamala Island. With direct flight options throughout the winter, Fiji Airways & Tourism Fiji are eager to invite us with a welcoming ‘Bula!’

A direct flight from Toronto, Visit Florida has a beach for every type of snowbird. Whether you’re looking for a family beach, dog-friendly stretch, or quiet escape, the state’s best beaches are just a short surf from the airport. Florida’s fabulous balance of sun, ocean and peninsula give way to an endless winter in the sun, much needed as YYZ’s weather turns.

With its local John Wayne Airport (SNA), travellers in Vancouver and Calgary won’t believe how quickly they go from sleet to sun when visiting Huntington Beach. Famously known as Surf City, USA, the destination embodies the Californian vibe, ideally nestled within Los Angeles, Anaheim, and San Diego. Travellers from Montreal and Toronto can get on board too, with direct flights from all Canadian hubs to LAX, only a short drive away from the endless sunset views on the Huntington Beach pier.

I love California and have always had the best experience. I’ve not been to Huntington Beach but have certainly heard of it. Definitely a destination I would love to check out.
