10 Trendy Fall Fashion Pieces

October 31, 2023

Updating our wardrobe for the season can be daunting when we are uncertain of changing trends and where to shop, but fret not, we are here to help. While we wholeheartedly believe that you should buy whatever you feel most comfortable in, if you’re looking for a fall fashion cheat sheet these are the 10 items we were most excited to add to our rotation. —Vicki Duong

smash & tess. Updating our knitwear collection is one of our favourite parts about a wardrobe overhaul. Cosy sweaters make us feel like we’re wearing a throw blanket out of the house and we could not be more thrilled. We are loving the bright green Loren turtleneck ($95) and matching wide-leg pants ($90) for a cohesive look, plus the slouchy fit reminds us of wearing our pjs.

reformation. Hate it or love it, denim maxi skirts are more popular than ever. Whether it’s paired with a basic tee or a chunky sweater, long denim skirts add a casual polish to any outfit, plus they’re a great opportunity to show off your footwear. Reformation’s Nila denim skirt ($248) features a cute crisscross waistband and front slit for added movement.

paper label. Long gone are the days where a hoodie is just athlesiure. Hooded sweatshirts now are made not only to be comfortable but stylish and luxe as well. This merino wool hoodie ($230) designed by Paper Label elevates your wardrobe with a ribbed hem and cuffs instead of elastic for a more sophisticated look that layers well under coats or worn on it’s own.

duer. Add a bit of warmth to your denim selection with this pair of rich brown jeans ($149) from Duer. The silhouette is 90s inspired with a relaxed fit through the thighs and hips with a high rise but what makes this pair of jeans exceptional is the tech-savvy fabric. A new fabric for the brand, the cotton-blend has a hint of stretch for added comfort and features an antimicrobial treatment for extended wear between washes.

buffalo jeans. The retro look is back in a big way and one of our favourite resurgences is cargo pants. We’ve been loving these low-rise cargos ($129) from Buffalo Jeans that seem straight out of a Spice Girls music video. Made with lightweight cotton, these pair well with our favourite pair of lug sole boots and sneakers alike.

good for sunday. With the weather being less than pleasant, staying at home to kick back and relax has been our go-to weekend plans. Keeping comfy is made easy with this bright blue bra top and bike shorts ($48 each) from Good For Sunday. The modal blend softens with every wash making it the perfect fit for your next movie marathon.

livøm. Add a touch of sophistication to your knitwear with this Livøm’s asymmetrical zipper pullover ($85). Designed in Montreal, Livøm prides themselves on eco-conscious commitments and this ribbed knit is no exception. Made with a blend of recycled materials and wool, the asymmetrical zip also allows you to customise your coverage.

brixton. The one of the best ways to lock in warmth without all of the bulk is opting for a shacket. The Bagby Shirt Jacket ($170) offering from Brixton combines the best parts of a jacket with the ease of a button-up. On chilly days, wear it closed to block out brisk air and when the weather is more mild, wear it open as a layering piece.

levi’s. Baggy jeans are here to stay and we’re ready to look the part with Levi’s version ($118) on this viral trend. Their baggy dad jeans are inspired by the perfectly broken-in pair of jeans with a relaxed roomy and slouchy fit with slack along the waist. Plus, as part of Levi’s sustainability efforts each pair is made with partially recycled cotton.

poppy barley. Thick calves, fret not, there are sustainable tall boot options for you this fall. The Toujours tall boots ($548) from Poppy Barley are on the top of our wishlist. Perfectly sleek with a moderate heel, these boots are available in two calf widths, easy to slip on and made with supple leather.
