We recently spent four days in Vegas and, while I am NOT a Vegas pro, I did put some thought into planning out the trip and we really enjoyed ourselves (which you very much know all about it if you read this post).
Consider this a very mini guide to Vegas with a few tips thrown in to help you plan a trip to Vegas if you’re into it! We went on a no-kid trip to Vegas in mid-Nov and the temp was about 21 C the whole time, which made it very comfortable during the day, warm enough to lay out in the sun, but it did get chilly at night as the desert will. I’ll break it down day by day with a few notes at the end. I was DEFO in my mom flow on the trip (even though we ended up singing Lola to bed on FaceTime twice (once while in an Uber cruising the Strip, don’t ask). My best Vegas advice is to just take it for what it is: a sh!t show… but it can be fun, too. I also have an IG highlight you can peep.
Day One
We got into Vegas around 1 p.m.; my brother-in-law had rented a car so he picked us up at the airport. The Vegas airport is right off the strip making it a quick car ride. We opted to stay at BIL fiancé’s timeshare, which was like a condo resort. It is called Club Wyndham and I don’t know if it’s somewhere you can book, but it was right off the strip. First stop was Shake Shack—we hadn’t tried it and were excited (so Canadian of us!). Loved it … yes, more than In-N-Out!
Then, we went to Trader Joe’s to grab some things (SNACKS, booze, bevvies) to make in the condo. Why can’t we have TJ’s in Canada? So depressing. I loved having use of a kitchen, which I feel is essential for longer stays anywhere. I booked us dinner at Vanderpump à Paris—I mean how could I not. This is located in The Paris Hotel. The vibe is very over the top Moulin Rouge Paris and the menu is very French. The cocktails were so good, and the vibe was too. The food, mid. BUT, the excitement really was kicked up a notch when we saw Oliver (Garcelle’s son IYKYK) working and while I was soooo embarrassed, Roberto made me get a pic with him and he was adorably nice. OK, OK, I’ll drop the pic or it didn’t happen moment here.
After dinner we walked over to The Bellagio to see the fountain (FUN!) and check out the lobby – seemed a bit stuffy to me! Then it was home time.
