The delicious handmade frozen Chinese dumplings known as Dicky’s Dumps are perfect for a quick snack or late night meal, plus you can add them to soups. They offer four flavours: pork and chive, shrimp and scallop, chicken and ginger, and vegetarian. They can be found at over a dozen local stockists including Gourmet Warehouse, Stong’s and Juice Truck.
Range & Co was founded by Hanceville Cattle Company with the goal of bringing their grass-fed beef to tables across BC. You can buy burgers and steaks from them as well as their frozen Beef or Mushroom Chili. Items can be ordered directly from Range & Co or through Spud.
For restaurant quality ramen at home, Franklin Food Lab’s frozen ramen kits are the way to go. Hiroshi Yoshida developed Franklin Food Lab during the pandemic in a quest to have high quality ramen at home. Franklin sells a number of different heat and eat ramen options including Spicy Tonkotsu and Chicken Shoyu.
One of Vancouver’s best pizza places is selling their pies frozen for easy heating and eating at home. Nicli Antica has their own online storefront for frozen foods called Munch where you can not only buy frozen pizzas but also frozen pasta dishes, like the Cacio e pepe.
The Aussie Pie Guy started as a food truck and now you can get these savoury and pies all over Vancouver and as well by delivery. These personal pies are perfect for stashing in your freezer for a quick breakfast, lunch, or midnight snack. The traditional Aussie Pie is made with chunks of beef and rich gravy, and they have many other flavours too including a Breakfast Pie and a Mac and Cheese Pie.
