The calendar is flipping to a new year, and in the name of wellness, North Americans are trying to drink less—beginning with Dry January. For example, this year, one in three Americans were trying to drink less alcohol overall and Dry January participation among Gen Z and Millennials has been trending up over the past few years. In 2023, 55 per cent of alcohol drinkers in these groups said they were likely to give it a try.

Pomegranate Nojito
Simple ingredients including pomegranate, lime, mint leaves, and sparkling water combine for the most refreshing sip. Makes two servings.
1 lime, sliced
¼ pomegranate, or ½ cup pomegranate seeds
6 large mint leaves
1 cup water
½ cup ice
12 ounces sparkling water, lime flavor if available
In the Aer Disc Container, add water, ice, lime slices, and mint. Next, squeeze the pomegranate quarter into the Aer Disc, releasing the seeds into the container. Cover container with lid, and blend on level 10 for 30 seconds. Fill two glasses with ice and pour the blended mixture into each glass, using the lid to lightly strain the liquid from the blended ingredients. Top each beverage with sparkling water, and garnish with a piece of the blended lime and a sprig of mint.
