This International Women’s Day, Vancouver-based zero-waste couture bridal brand OUMA is hosting an empowering event, Bubble & Bow, aimed at celebrating women’s achievements while extending a helping hand to those in need.
On March 9, join OUMA for an exclusive workshop where you’ll have the opportunity to craft your own oversized bow using fabric scraps saved from bridal gown-making. Proceeds from ticket sales (and percentage of bridal dress sales in March) will be directed toward supporting the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre in Vancouver. “International Women’s Day is a momentous occasion for us to recognize the invaluable contributions of women worldwide. As a business founded and operated on the historical Hastings Street of Vancouver, we believe in the power of community and collaboration, and together, we can make a difference.” says Ou Ma, owner of OUMA.
