Whether it was Beyonce or some other pop-culture moment that brought cowboy style to the forefront of fashion, the jury is in: western boots are the thing to add to your footwear collection. And, arguably, the “it” pair of SS24 are made by a brand that no longer ships to Canada—but we know where you can snag some IRL.
“The Montserrat Messeguer Leather Western Cowboy Boots are a must-have piece for any fashion lover’s closet,” says Randa Salloum, owner of Vancouver’s Collective Will. “With celebrities like Dua Lipa and Emily Ratajkowski trotting around town in them, I’m honoured to have them available at Collective Will. The brand no longer ships to Canada, and this is the only store in the country that you can purchase the boots.”
Each boot is fully handcrafted by local artisans in Leon, Mexico. With its Ganni counterparts selling for nearly double the price (and they’re glued), Montserrat Messeguer footwear is an obvious choice. Says Randa, “Ninety-eight per cent of people who have tried them on have left with a pair—they’re just so beautiful and comfortable.”
Another reason to invest? “I personally see these boots as heirlooms,” she says. “They’ll get better with age and wear.”
Each purchase comes with a 30-day warranty and Collective Will’s colour selection will be expanding in the next month. These boots are priced at $750 per pair and, says Randa, “We offer Afterpay, so you can pay for in four instalments interest-free and get the boots right away.”
