Here’s one Mother’s Day event you definitely won’t want to miss—and, if you’re still searching for the perfect gift for mom, consider this!
On Saturday, May 11, Metropolis At Metrotown will transform into a whimsical English Garden Party, complete with delectable food and drink, live music, vibrant garden decor and more.
Featuring a selection of earth-friendly eats, guests will get to choose from an assortment of small bites including carrot, leek and mushroom spring rolls; halloumi with confit tomato; cornbread with grilled avocado and green salsa; and more. Guests can also choose from a selection of rosé and white wines by the glass, as well as a special Mother’s Day cocktail (mocktail option available).
Event-goers of all ages can choose from a variety of interactive activities—including an adopt-a-plant experience; What’s the Buzz, where attendees can learn about pollinators; a build-your-own candy bar; and more—all while dancing to upbeat tunes of DJ Morgan.
With plenty of enchanting installations and photo opps available, guests can journey through a mesmerizing English garden museum, designed from an ant’s perspective—think giant flowers and woodland creatures, as well as fun facts about pollinators. While in the garden, stop and make a wish on the magical wishing tree. For every wish made, MET will donate to Tree Canada to plant a tree—up to 1,000 trees that will benefit areas in BC or Prairie regions affected by wildfires.
Tickets are $40 per person, and include a gift bag complete with a $20 gift card to Metropolis at Metrotown, and a variety of other goodies (one ticket per guest; one gift bag per guest). Children 11 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online, or in the Grand Court. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Cause We Care Foundation. —Vita Daily
