Another day, another 10 launches! Even when it feels like there can’t be any more innovation, some product or other gets a makeover. While all the newness can be overwhelming, as beauty lovers, it’s equally exciting to explore and discover the new launches. There have been quite a lot so far this summer; we’ve narrowed the list down to our 10 faves below! —Sidra Sheikh
Clarins Lip Oil Balm ($40)
An oil infused lip balm that enhances the beauty of your lips. Equipped with 96 per cent natural origin ingredients and a 99 per cent skincare formula, this balm looks great and nourishes the lips simultaneously. Available in six shades, the balm goes on sheer and natural, perfect for everyday use.
Gucci Rossa Ancora ($61)
The newest Gucci Beauty lipstick shade and the first creation by creative director, Sabato De Sarno. A beautiful bold red that applies effortlessly, is highly pigmented while being creamy and long-lasting. It is formulated with nourishing oils, gelling waxes and rich pigments to leave the lips feeling hydrated and lightweight.
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna
Fenty Beauty has certainly been busy given the number of lip products they recently launched. The launches include a long-awaited Trace’d Out Pencil lip liner ($27) that is longwear, creamy, waterproof and perfect for all tones. Available in 10 shades, the finish is a soft velvet-matte finish. A Gloss Bomb Stix High-Shine Gloss Stick ($38), which is the solid lipstick format of the OG Gloss Bomb. Also available in 10 universal shades, the stick is medium to full coverage, non-sticky, long-lasting and packed with great ingredients for the lips. If that wasn’t enough lip love, Fenty Skin also expanded their lip oil and lip masks. The Fenty Treatz Lip Oils ($33) are available in two new scents, Black Cherry and Dragon Fruit and the Plush Puddin’ Intensive Recovery Lip Mask ($31) is now available in Barbados Cherry.
Biossance Pro-Peptide Lip Perfector ($25)
Available in clear and two sheer washes, this balm is packed with hydrating ingredients to hydrate for up to 24 hours. In addition to the ultimate hydration, it also protects the lips moisture barrier, locks in nourishment and improves lip health. The only downside, this won’t be available until September.
Haus Labs Color Fuse Longwear Hydrating Glassy Lip + Cheek Blush Balm Stick ($47)
What began as a skincare serum stick, this blush stick is very pigmented and delivers tons of colour and skincare benefits.With more than 70 per cent skincare that help the skin look plumper and hydrated, the blush looks like an inner glow and feels like it too.
Shiseido Ultra Sun Protector Spray SPF 40 ($49)
With how important it is to apply sunscreen, this sunscreen spray makes application a breeze. The spray dries quickly and stays in place. It is water resistant for 80 minutes and provides four hour hydration. Great for all skin types it provides SPF 40 protection against UVA and UVB rays. To top it all off the sunscreen is formulated with skincare ingredients and antioxidant-packed botanicals to help prevent damage caused by UV rays that lead to wrinkles and dark spots.
Ultra Violette Sheen Hydrating Lip Balm SPF 50 ($28.50)
The lips have skin too, which means they need sunscreen too and lucky for us Ultra Violette just launched a great option. A hydrating lip balm with SPF 50 that looks like a gloss but with all the protection and hydration. Available in three shades, this non-sticky balm is a win-win for anyone. On a side note, they also launched the Fave Fluid SPF 50+ Ultralight Skinscreen ($56.50), which is their lightest SPF formula that glides on like water. It is also fragrance-free and has tons of skin boosting ingredients to improve and protect the face.
U Beauty – The PLASMA Lip Compound Tinted ($88)
Available in two new shades, Idol and Tulle, these lip tints provide hydration, softness, anti-aging benefits, increased volume and more. Formulated with a patent pending SIREN Capsule Technology, the tints optimize skin renewal and increase hydration. This paired with natural extracts that optimize skin conditions, the lips are left looking smooth and plump.
Revlon Dual Ended Jelly Makeup Blender ($19.99)
The latest viral blending tool that is the first of its kind to mass market. A dual-ended blender with a larger tip to contour and highlight and a smaller tip for precision when concealing and blurring. The tool is easy to clean, soft and can apply, blend and diffuse all kinds of makeup, but works best with all cream or liquid makeup.
