Canada: Mission Hill Reserve Pinot Gris

This Reserve Pinot Gris is a white bursting with notes of peach and bright citrus, complemented by a great balance of texture and acidity. Pinot Gris is vibrant and fruity. Examples of great pairings: seafood salad, smoked salmon, oysters, pasta with cream or mushroom sauce, baked white fish in butter sauce, soft-ripened cheese, chicken sandwich, prawns and scallops.

Italy: Pasqua Veneto Passimento Rosso

Intense aromas of cherry, prune, cedar and hints of sweet tobacco. The palate is well balanced with velvety tannins and a soft and round finish. Try with Linguine Alla Carbonara.

Argentina: Santa Julia Malbec Reserve

Pure and clean, with a beautiful nose. Some floral aromas and notes of aromatic herbs. A vibrant palate, juicy and delicious. Malbec is full-bodied and robust; pair with grilled steak, roast beef, rack of lamb, lamb shank, osso bucco and/or sharp cheddar.

Australia: Penfolds Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

Crushed velvet depth defines the texture of this cassis-scented, persistent and generously fruited wine. Flavours of mint, damp herbs and oak round out the palate. This wine is great with steak or lamb.

United States: Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon

This offers outstanding value—a nice mingling of rich red fruit with lively spice and oak. With additions of Merlot, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petite Sirah, it delivers fruity flavor within an approachable, enjoyable length of supple tannin and lush texture. Full-bodied and robust, pair with grilled steak, roast beef, rack of lamb, lamb shank, osso bucco and/or sharp cheddar.

France: Louis Latour Bourgogne Chardonnay

Of a bright yellow color with green hues, this Bourgogne Chardonnay offers on the nose a floral bouquet with a hint of honeysuckle. The palate is round with white fruits and fresh almond aromas. This wine offers wonderful minerality and freshness on the finish. Chardonnay is rich and full-bodied and would pair well with a summer cobb salad.

Germany: Deinhard Green Label Riesling

The vineyards of Germany’s Mosel Valley are the source of some of the world’s finest rieslings. Pouring a bright pale straw colour, Green Label has aromas of apple, melon and citrus. On the palate, it is soft with medium sweetness, balanced acidity and a minerally finish.

Spain: Segura Viudas Cava Brut Reserva

The prime feature of Brut Reserva Segura Viudas is its elegant and persistent mousse. The aromas are of white fruits, citrus and tropical fruits, and light floral notes. The palate is exquisite, complex and full of flavour, with good acidity and notes of lime and pineapple. It is dry and long on the finish. Pair with seafood salad for the win!
