Nudestix Stax are one of the hottest makeup must-tries of the moment, having been one of the brand’s most recent drops. Offered in a cream-to-powder formula, these all-over color blush balms come in a wide array of colorways and are designed to blur and mattify the skin while spotlighting a dreamy cloud-cushion-like texture.
Perfect for eyes, cheeks, and lips, this multi-use product is clean, and vegan, featuring extracts and antioxidants to help promote the look and feel of hydrated, youthful skin.
Are you intrigued?
Well, I was, so I decided to give the Nudestix Stax a try after learning that these are super easy to apply, click, and stack for the ultimate GRWM look.
One of my favorite parts about the Nudestix Stax is the packaging- the thoughtfully stackable magnetic component (which features a mirror!) is perfect for keeping your fave shades close- plus, it’s great for stacking and packing on the go. Another fave when it comes to the collection is the formula, which blends skincare with makeup to ensure skin looks and feels its best when applied. Some key ingredient callouts include; antioxidants such as Vitamin E and Green Tea, as well as Safflower, and Rosehip oils.
When diving into the shade range, Nudestix Stax are currently available in 9 gorgeous colors- from Sunkissed to Picante Nude, among many others. When giving Nudestix Stax a go, I opted to try three different shades on my skintone; Magenta Matte, Melon Sugar, and Love & Roses.
Magenta Matte:
When testing the product color payoff on my hand, I noticed that the formula featured a cloud-cushion texture that offers buildable coverage. I chose to apply the color to my cheeks with my fingers at first, in which I found the product to be extremely blendable. However, I did notice that in order to achieve my preferred color intensity, I had to dip back into the component a couple more times to reapply. Overall, Magenta Matte is one of my favorite shades- it came off as a cool, babydoll pink on my skin which I loved.
Melon Sugar
Another one of my faves, Melon Sugar, which is described as a Watermelon Coral, was also stunning once applied. I tried using a brush for this application, but I must agree that using your fingers is the best way to get a more full-coverage, intense color payoff. This was a gorgeous blushing coral shade that can easily take you from summer to fall.
Love & Roses
If you’re after a more subtle, natural look, then this neutral rose shade is the way to go. I was obsessed with how this gave my cheeks a more natural flush, in that it left me with a radiantly blurred complexion.
Overall, I love how these All Over Color Blush Balms sit on the skin. Although I adored all three of the shades that I tried, I decided to wear shade Melon Sugar for the rest of the day. I completed the look by applying the shade Sunstone to the contours of my face for a more sun-kissed glow and I am in LOVE with how it all came together!
On a separate occasion, I tried the shade Pink Love on my lips, and I was obsessed how the cool, bright rose-pink gave me a soft flush of color when applied and paired with a nude/pink liner. It’s true- these are super versatile.
All in all, the Nudestix Stax are super versatile and flexible- offering a super blendable and customizeable look for any occasion. Although the shades come across as more sheer when first applied, I appreciate the fact that they can be layered (all over the face, at that) to achieve a more personalized appearance. Pro tip, I would recommend blending the product with your fingers for the best color payoff.
In my opinion, these are a must-try! —Samantha Vecchiarelli
