All About Bobbi Brown’s New Weightless Skin Foundation SPF 15 Launch + #InMySkin Campaign

I chatted with Bobbi Brown’s artist-in-residence, Carola Gonzalez, about the brand’s latest Weightless Skin Foundation SPF 15 launch and corresponding campaign that just made its official debut last month. The campaign, #InMySkin, is all about celebrating natural, beautiful skin as well as the beauty of candid dialogue among women.  

Available in 53 undertone-correct shades that have been designed for a range of different skin tones, types, and concerns, Bobbi Brown’s Weightless Skin Foundation is your skin- but better. Featuring SPF 15, this comfortable yet breathable must-try transforms traditional foundation standards and ensures hydrated skin by offering 24-hour moisture and wear. The results? A stunning medium-coverage natural matte finish that mimics the look and feel of your best skin. It’s also specially enhanced with the brand’s Smart Skin-Balancing Technology, to help manage and control oil throughout the day.

To get the inside scoop about the latest launch, I sat down with Carola Gonzalez to learn more about what makes the Bobbi Brown Weightless Skin Foundation SPF 15 a game-changer in beauty, as well as the latest #InMySkin Campaign.

Tell me about the new Bobbi Brown Weightless Skin Foundation SPF 15.

Yes! I’m actually wearing it right now and it’s amazing. It’s very lightweight, so I can barely feel it on my skin. It is also non-drying. I don’t even feel it on my skin and it has great coverage because it’s really buildable.

How does it differ from other Bobbi Brown foundations the brand has launched in the past?

It’s actually creamy but when you apply it it feels lightweight. Plus, it’s very easy to blend in. It’s almost like a velvet feeling and the coverage is super even and glowy. It blends in very well with the skin. When you try it you will understand! 

There is a smoothness to it and it adjusts well to the skin. The application is super easy and it feels great because even though it’s matte it feels hydrating. There are 53 shades so I believe everyone will be able to find the right shade.

I personally use a brush to apply it to achieve a more natural look and lighter coverage, but you can also use a beauty wedge for a more full-coverage look. A wet wedge will sheer the coverage out more.

What do you love most about the new Bobbi Brown Weightless Skin Foundation SPF 15?

What I love about the new launch is that the shades are very warm, which uplifts you. Some shades out there in the world are flat but this product has an uplifting effect and adds a sense of liveliness and warmth to your skin. 

When it comes to the new campaign launch, the beauty of skin has always inspired Bobbi Brown. As a result, the latest campaign is a new evolution for the brand, valuing its heritage in natural, skin-first beauty through conversations about self-love and real-life experiences. Tell us about your involvement in the #InMySkin campaign and what it is all about.

I think this campaign will impact a lot of people because I don’t think there has been anything like this before. Bobbi Brown has opted to use makeup artists instead of models or celebrities so it was an honour to be part of it. I am honored to be representing people in their 50s. I want women to embrace how they look and feel in the most natural way. 

It’s about feeling good about yourself at every age! It’s about expressing yourself and embracing the woman that you are. It’s not only about the makeup you’re wearing it’s about how you feel in your skin and embracing it. 

What are some of your go-to Bobbi Brown products?

I love the Extra Plump Tinted Lip Serum, I’m obsessed! It really plumps your lips and there’s no tingling sensation, which I love. It plumps your lips naturally without stinging. I also love the Eye Opening Mascara and Micro Brow Pencil.
