What inspired the collaboration between Fanta and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice for this Limited-Edition Haunted Apple flavour and packaging design?
Our collaboration with Warner Bros. Pictures for the Limited-Edition Fanta Haunted Apple flavour and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice packaging design was inspired by the shared spirit of both brands. Our ‘Wanta Fanta’ and ‘Summon What You Wanta’ platforms encourage people to celebrate Halloween their way and are perfectly aligned with the playful nature of Beetlejuice. Together, we’ve created a fun Halloween experience for everyone to enjoy.
Can you share any insights into the process of developing the unique Haunted Apple flavour and how it ties in with the spooky Beetlejuice theme?
We wanted to create a unique yet spine-tingling flavour that perfectly complements the spooky Beetlejuice theme. The Haunted Apple flavour is a nod to the autumn season, synonymous with Halloween and the release of the film.
What was the reasoning behind giving Fanta Orange and Fanta Pineapple a Beetlejuice-inspired makeover, featuring characters like Astrid and Delia Deetz?
The decision to give Fanta Orange and Fanta Pineapple a Beetlejuice-inspired makeover was driven by our desire to fully immerse our consumers in the Beetlejuice universe. Featuring characters like Astrid and Delia Deetz on the packaging allows fans to engage with the film in a new and exciting way.
How has the response from Canadian consumers been so far regarding the limited-edition flavour, and are there any standout reactions or fan engagements?
Since the release of the limited-edition flavour in Canada, we’ve noticed social media engagement from consumers, particularly young adults excited about the new film and those who remember the original movie fondly. Canadians have been sharing photos of their Beetlejuice-inspired Fanta products, showing their interest for the collaboration.
Given the popularity of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and the limited availability of these products in Canada, are there any plans for extending the collaboration beyond October 21 or introducing similar themed flavors in the future?
While we’re pleased with the responses and engagement we’ve received for this collaboration so far, our current focus is on highlighting this partnership and inspiring consumers to summon their favourite Beetlejuice spirit while enjoying their favourite Fanta! As part of this innovative collaboration, we’ve also introduced a digital immersive experience called The Afterlife Train Experience, inspired by the film. This showcases our commitment to providing a unique flavour and packaging and also engaging and memorable experiences for our consumers.
