How To Make DIY Ice Rollers Using Popsicle Molds

September 30, 2024

Ingredients:

  • Water (or substitute with rose water, green tea, or cucumber water for added benefits)
  • Fresh cucumber slices (optional, for soothing effects)
  • Aloe vera gel (optional, for calming the skin)
  • Essential oils like lavender or peppermint (optional, just a drop or two for a refreshing scent)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare your liquid:
    • For a basic ice roller, use filtered water.
    • For added skin benefits, consider using rose water, brewed green tea, or cucumber water. To make cucumber water, blend half a cucumber and strain the juice.
  2. Customize (optional):
    • Add fresh cucumber slices or a teaspoon of aloe vera gel to each mold to soothe and hydrate the skin.
    • If you like, add 1–2 drops of essential oil to each mold for a calming or refreshing effect (lavender is calming, while peppermint is refreshing).
  3. Fill the popsicle molds:
    • Pour your liquid mixture into the molds, leaving a bit of space at the top to allow for expansion as the liquid freezes.
  4. Freeze:
    • Place the molds in the freezer for 4-6 hours or until fully frozen.
  5. Use your ice roller:
    • Once frozen, remove the popsicle from the mold and gently glide it over your face in an upward and outward motion. Focus on areas where you feel puffiness, such as under the eyes, cheeks, or jawline.
  6. Storage:
    • Store the unused rollers in the freezer and reuse as needed.

These ice rollers are perfect for reducing puffiness, soothing irritation, and improving circulation, especially in the morning!
