In honor of World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2024, Sephora and Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez are coming together for the second year of the “Make A Rare Impact” campaign. Once again, Sephora is pledging to donate 100 per cent (certain limitations apply across specific regions) of Rare Beauty sales across 27 global markets to the Rare Impact Fund on this day, continuing their mission to support youth mental health initiatives worldwide.
The Rare Impact Fund, launched in 2020 by Selena Gomez, aims to raise $100 million to increase access to mental health services and education for young people. By donating one percent of every Rare Beauty purchase to the fund, the brand has made mental health support a cornerstone of its identity. Last year, the campaign was a major success, and this year, they hope to make an even bigger impact.
Selena Gomez shared her gratitude for the ongoing partnership, saying, “Mental health continues to disproportionately affect young people, and with Sephora’s support, we’re able to make a meaningful difference.”
Sephora’s global reach will ensure that funds raised will support mental health programs across multiple continents, from North America to Asia, Europe, and beyond. The Rare Impact Fund already partners with 26 organizations across five continents, positively affecting over one million young people annually.
Scott Friedman, CEO of Rare Beauty, emphasized the significance of Sephora’s involvement, noting how the retailer has championed the brand’s mission from the very beginning. This partnership underscores how beauty can make a real difference, dismantling stigma and fostering inclusivity.
To be part of this impactful movement, shop Rare Beauty products in-store or online at Sephora on October 10, and support youth mental health. —Vita Daily
