If you need your bucket list boosting, why not check out some of the places on this list?

The United States of America

Las Vegas, Nevada

This is an obvious choice, but it’s no surprise that Sin City is a place on every bucket list. Here you will find entertainment of all kinds – from the obvious casinos to world-class music, comedy, and theatre, as well as restaurants managed by the best chefs on the planet. There is something for everyone in this city, and a world of exploration in the desert landscape around the city, too.

Don’t forget to hone your gambling strategy before you go – use an online casino to practice your skills on the slots, check out casinos.com comparing slot bonuses before you play.

New York City

This is one of the most visited cities in the world, and with so much to see and do it is no surprise. You can visit Ellis Island and see the Statue of Liberty to get a feel for the New World as the European immigrants would have experienced, or take in the wonder of Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, or One World Trade Centre. Explore Central Park by cycle or on horseback, and then take in a theatre show on Broadway – and that’s before you’ve considered shopping and eating.

New Orleans, Louisiana

The heartland of the jazz world and a historic city known for witchcraft as much as it is for Mardi Gras, New Orleans is as vibrant and fun as you may expect. Aside from the history and the music, it’s the Creole and Cajun cuisine that will excite foodies the most, and you’ll learn a lot about the history of magic, too.

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming/Montana/Idaho

The first national park, opened to the public as such back in 1872, stretches over 2.2 million acres. Here you will find a place full of rich human and ecological stories, as well as half the world’s most active geysers.

There is so much to see and do in Yellowstone, whether you are visiting Old Faithful or taking in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone River. Wildlife in abundance and experiences around every corner, perfect for the explorer in you.

Washington DC

The capital of the US is home to some of the most important government buildings in the world. From the White House to From the White House to the Supreme Court, the country would not run if it weren’t for the people in the city. It’s not all about politics though – there’s the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, and the Smithsonian Museum to check out, too.

Canada

Toronto

If you want a vibrant mix of cultures and neighbourhoods in one city, Toronto is the place for you. A veritable melting pot of people, where you can dine in Greektown one night, and Chinatown the next – and then take in all the cultural experiences you can. Of course, the CN Tower is one of the highlights, and you really must take the Edgewalk that loops around the perimeter of the tower with the best views.

Niagara Falls

You could see it from the US side, but in Canada you can get up close and personal from a boat, or hike around the Falls to get the full experience. You’ll get wet, but is there anything more awe-inspiring than the power of nature?

Quebec

The old city of Quebec is romantic in the same way that the ancient European cities are – sweeping architecture and spired cathedrals ready to enchant, while jazz-filled cafes provide the soundtrack to your break. Deep in a region known for natural beauty, Quebec is quintessentially Canadian.

Vancouver

Another city on the list, but this one is a metropolis known for being as laid back as it is beautiful. Best visited in the summer, the combination mountains and beaches make this the go-to place for those who crave adventure but want to be able to relax in chic surroundings afterwards. You might spot a celeb or two – Vancouver is the Hollywood of the North.

Whistler

One of the best ski destinations in the world, Whistler offers 200+ marked ski runs down both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains in the winter and offers the perfect location for paddleboards and cycling in the summer. Add in the thriving arts and culture scene, and it is no wonder that Whistler is the place to see and be seen whatever the season.
