Letters To Santa: What The VITA Team Wants For Christmas

December 14, 2024

Ever wonder what’s on our wish lists, when it comes to holiday gifting and getting? We asked members of the VITA team to submit their Letters to Santa–here’s what contributing writer Sheila O’Neill wants for Christmas!

Hear those silver bells? It’s Christmas time again! For those of you looking to pick up a few more gifts for the special people in your life, or if you’re wondering what you should ask for this year, here is my personal gift guide. I hope this can spark a little holiday inspiration. This is a curated mix from high-ticket items to stocking stuffers for the girliest of the girlies. Have a holly jolly Christmas!

Red Light Therapy Mask

I have always been super diligent with my skincare routine. My approach is to be high maintenance with my skincare, so that I can be low maintenance with makeup and still feel confident in my skin. This year I am looking to kick my at-home routine up a notch with some beauty tech. So many fantastic devices are being made available to use at home. I have the HigherDOSE Red Light Face Mask for Fine Lines & Glowing Skin on my wishlist to take my skincare to the next level.

Goop Himalayan Salt Scalp Scrub Shampoo

I love finding little ways to make my day-to-day life a touch more luxurious. For anyone who wants that “spa at home” effect, my number one recommendation is the Goop Himalayan Salt Scrub Shampoo. With notes of rosemary, geranium, orange, and peppermint it’s reminiscent of a relaxing spa day. It also leaves your hair feeling cleaner and healthier than ever. I love to leave one in my guest bathroom, for friends and family to enjoy as well when they visit. This would make an excellent stocking stuffer.

Ouai Hair Oil

My hair is never healthier than when I’m using the Ouai Hair Oil. I have naturally curly hair, which I put through a lot of heat styling. This oil helps to tame any fly aways and prevent further breakage, leaving my hair soft and smooth. It has a pleasant smell that isn’t overpowering. The bottle is small, but it lasts a long time, I usually only need to refill once, or twice a year.

My Mum Made It Puffer Tote

My Mum Made It is an Australian brand I discovered this year. They are an independent, female owned brand doing really unique and interesting things in fashion. I love their Pink Puffer Tote, it looks like an extra fluffy down duvet.

My Mum Made It Pleat Shirt Dress

I can’t stop thinking about this Pleat Shirt Dress from My Mum Made It as well. It’s the perfect transition piece from the minimalist aesthetic to twee (which is where I predict we are heading). Literally, I’ve never met a peter pan collar, or a pleated skirt I didn’t like.

Miu Miu Oxfords

On the topic of the twee aesthetic, I have been keeping my eye out for the perfect pair of oxfords, or brogues. Though a higher ticket item, these Church’s X Miu Miu Brushed Leather Oxford Brogue Shoes in Tobacco are the most beautiful pair I’ve found. They are such a classic style, these would be worth the investment (imo).

Frilly Socks

One simply can’t wear brogues without a pair of frilly socks. I love this three-pack from Free People in pastel colors with antique lace. Who said socks aren’t a great Christmas gift? I would love to wake up to these in my stocking.
