Whether for work-from-home days, jet-setting across the globe or taking the kids to their afterschool activities, comfortable athleisure that still looks polished is always in rotation in our wardrobe—and these beloved Canadian brands have fresh picks for a stylish spring. —Karen Kwan
Roots
Roots has you sorted for what to wear for your next flight. The beloved Canadian brand has just launched Roam, a new collection with the traveler in mind (although it’d work just as well for the girl on the go at home). Fabrics are soft, stretchy and anti-wrinkle. And best of all for the women who are always spilling matcha on themselves, the pieces are both stain-resistant and moisture-wicking.
Knix
Five pieces fabricated for such ultimate comfort, they’re sure to become your spring uniform. The star of Knix’s new CloudCut Collection is the fabric–it’s ultra soft and almost neoprene-esque–that’s been elevated comfort-wise with details such as bonded seam construction. Available now in a limited-edition shade, Dahlia (a plum shade that adds just the right pop of colour as we transition into spring).
Mini Mioche
Mini Mioche, the darling clothing brand for littles has just launched a capsule collection for adults. Yes, you can find pieces to match your mini-me, and they’re all crafted with Canadian-milled, 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton french terry and jersey. Go for a breezy look with a whole matching ensemble of fleece joggers, t-shirt and pullover tossed over your shoulders, and check back as the mercury rises this season for cropped hoodies and wide-leg pants in pretty spring shades.
Province of Canada
Province of Canada’s March Break collection–with light and cheerful pieces in buttery yellow and a nautical blue, not to mention the darling heart baseball cap – has only whet our appetite for what’s to come once the trees start to bud and birds are a-chirping. For spring, the Made in Canada brand has promised new designs and colours for the classics we already love and (yes!) a few brand new pieces.

I’m usually pretty skeptical about new platforms, but a colleague mentioned he’d been testing one during his commute, so I gave it a shot. What pulled me in was how simple it felt to get started—no confusing steps or endless forms. Right in the middle of browsing, I decided to create your Mateslots account and was surprised how quickly I was actually playing. The layout didn’t overwhelm me, and I liked that everything was where I expected it to be. Ended up staying way longer than planned.
