Big news for Vancouver’s fashion crowd: La Maison Simons is officially heading downtown.
The beloved Canadian retailer has announced plans to open a brand-new flagship at CF Pacific Centre, with doors set to open in fall 2027—and it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting retail launches the city has seen in years.
A major moment for Vancouver retail
This isn’t just another store opening. The new Simons location represents a $55 million investment in Vancouver’s retail core and will span an impressive 92,000 square feet across three floors.
Set in one of the highest-traffic shopping destinations in Western Canada, the space is expected to create approximately 150 jobs while introducing Simons’ signature blend of fashion, art, and design to the heart of the city.
And if you’ve ever stepped inside a Simons store, you’ll know this isn’t your typical shopping experience.
More than just a store
Each Simons location is uniquely designed—and the Vancouver flagship will be no exception.
The upcoming space is being envisioned as an immersive environment that merges architecture, culture, and style. Drawing inspiration from Vancouver’s own design heritage, the concept will incorporate elements of Brutalism and 1960s aesthetics, balanced with warm, modern finishes to create a space that feels both striking and inviting.
In other words, expect a destination—not just a store.
Building on serious momentum
The downtown expansion comes at a time of major growth for Simons, which surpassed $830 million in sales in 2025 and continues to see strong demand across the country.
Here in B.C., the brand’s Park Royal location has been a standout success, delivering consistent high double-digit growth—including more than 30 per cent year-over-year growth in 2025 alone.
Digital is also playing a major role, with e-commerce accounting for roughly 35 per cent of Simons’ sales in the province—a sign that the brand’s hybrid retail approach is clearly resonating with West Coast shoppers.
A vote of confidence in the city
At a time when much of the retail industry is navigating uncertainty, Simons’ continued investment in physical spaces—and in Vancouver specifically—feels significant.
“Vancouver is one of Canada’s most dynamic and inspiring retail markets,” says Bernard Leblanc, President and CEO of Simons. “Our growth is guided by our customers and a desire to create spaces that reflect the communities we serve.”
That community-first approach has long been central to the brand’s identity—and it’s part of what makes each new opening feel so locally connected.
What this means for Vancouver
For shoppers, the arrival of Simons downtown means easier access to its curated mix of exclusive in-house labels, designer collaborations, and standout home décor—all under one (very stylish) roof.
For the city, it signals renewed energy in the retail core, with a brand that’s known for drawing both loyal fans and curious newcomers alike.
And for anyone who appreciates thoughtful design, inspiring spaces, and fashion that feels just a little more interesting? Fall 2027 can’t come soon enough. —Noa Nichol
