Marie Antoinette is so last season.
This month’s bravest biopic is the Vancouver premiere of Klimt, which stars the inimitable John Malkovich as the famed art nouveau painter Gustav Klimt, best known for “The Kiss.”
Set in fin-de-siècle Vienna and featuring the gorgeous Saffron Burrows, there’s plenty of eccentricity, sex, lots of gold leaf, and, naturally, a tragic ending.
But where are the petit fours?
Klimt plays tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Vancity Theatre. Click here for details and more great upcoming films.

This service is super helpful for anyone who’s lost their original records. Getting a high school diploma or transcripts can be confusing, especially if you don’t know where to start. Resources that explain how to do so are rare, verify credentials, and avoid scams are honestly underrated—bookmarking this for future reference.
