Harrison Ford has traded Hollywood for the Scottish Highlands—and the result is one of the year’s most entertaining whisky collaborations.

To celebrate the launch of its new Harrison Ford Limited Edition single malt, Glenmorangie has unveiled Once Upon a Time in Scotland, a delightfully off-script campaign directed by actor and filmmaker Joel Edgerton. Across a series of episodic films, Ford heads to the distillery’s Highland home, where he immerses himself in the people, traditions and craftsmanship behind one of Scotland’s most beloved whiskies.

Expect plenty of laughs as the legendary actor navigates Scottish pronunciation, kilt etiquette and local customs before settling in for a well-earned dram alongside the real Glenmorangie distillery team—all of whom appear in the campaign themselves. Shot against the breathtaking backdrop of the Highlands, including the historic Glenmorangie Distillery in Tain and Ardross Castle, the films feel refreshingly authentic, playful and unscripted.

To mark the collaboration, Glenmorangie has also released the Harrison Ford Limited Edition, a collectible bottling for fans of both exceptional single malt and cinematic icons. Available now in British Columbia for $144.99 (and arriving in Ontario this September for $159.95), it’s the perfect excuse to raise a glass to Scotland, storytelling and one very unexpected leading man. —Noa Nichol
