Spring has sprung and its not just the mourning doves twittering a
pretty tune.
B.C.-born songbird, Ndidi
Onukwulu brings her bluesy sound to The Rivoli Friday night, playing
songs from her acclaimed sophomore album The Contradictor.
With influences that span the musical scale from ’30s ragtime jazz to
gospel to reggae, its no wonder this unique voice has such a broad
following.
Her migration to Paris is imminent so catch a glimpse before Onukwulu
flies the coup.
Ndidi Onukwulu plays The Rivoli, 334 Queen St. W., Toronto,
416-596-1908, April 24 at 8 p.m., tickets $15, www.rivoli.ca
