The best part of a Canadian road trip? Arguably the pit stops. This summer, Roots is celebrating the country’s most iconic roadside food destinations with Pit Stops Summer ’26—a limited-edition capsule collection that’s equal parts fashion, nostalgia and national pride.

Created in collaboration with Toronto illustrator Moya Garrison-Msingwana (GANGBOX), the collection transforms legendary Canadian favourites—including Webers, St-Viateur Bagel, La Banquise, The Big Apple, COWS and Duffin’s Donuts—into wearable works of art. Think graphic crews, organic cotton T-shirts, baseball caps and totes inspired by the burgers, bagels, donuts, poutine and ice cream that have fuelled generations of Canadian adventures.

“Roots has always been part of the moments that define a Canadian summer: the road trips, the detours, and the familiar stops that become just as memorable as the destination,” says Leslie Golts, Chief Marketing Officer at Roots. “These places are where memories are made with friends and family.”

To celebrate the launch, Roots is bringing the road trip to Toronto with its Route 73 pop-up at The Well’s Wellington Square from July 29 to 31, where shoppers can experience destination-inspired activations and shop the collection in person.

Whether your summer memories involve a Weber’s burger on the way to cottage country, a late-night plate of La Banquise poutine or a fresh bag of St-Viateur bagels, this collection is a stylish reminder that some of Canada’s best destinations are found just off the highway. —Noa Nichol
