Sustainability is a must in this day and age, especially for the brands we shop from. Whether it’s being eco-conscious of their environmental impact or having a zero-waste policy, these beloved brands are worth checking out this plastic-free July. —Nicole Garbanzos

Wildcraft

Driven by the benefits of natural ingredients, Wildcraft products are packaged nearly entirely plastic-free. Housed in glass and aluminum, plant-based sugarcane bioplastics are what’s used for some shampoo and conditioner tubes. Even the tape they use for shipping is made of paper!

Nusa Holistick

Believing in the necessity of wellness, Nusa Holistick heavily prioritizes sustainable packaging. From serums to cleansers, their products are all packaged in recyclable glass bottles. Their hair claw clips are also made with cellulose acetate (derived from wood pulp) instead of usual plastic.

Jewelry made to be worn with meaning, suetables’ product materials and packaging are plastic-free. Crafted from genuine metals like solid gold and sterling silver, each piece is made with primarily recycled metals. And their packaging is 100 percent biodegradable.

Brixton

Inspired by modern culture and the diversity that surrounds us, Brixton actively uses organic cotton and recycled synthetics for a few of their pieces. Their snapbacks are made from recycled fishing nets and have also transitioned to only using 100 percent recycled LDPE polybags.

Driven by the use of safer ingredients, by/rosie jane avoids using single-use plastic for all of their perfume bottles. Committed to sustainability, their packaging is completely recyclable, made with wind power, sustainable paper, and even vegetable-based inks.

Saie

Built on the simple idea of feeling good and doing good, Saie has spearheaded its own climate initiative since 2024. They are a Certified Plastic Negative brand and rely heavily on glass, aluminum and post-consumer recycled plastics to lessen their eco-footprint.

Lush

Known for their bath bombs and shower jellies, Lush leads the way in packaging-free products. 60 percent of their store rarely use any packaging, and for the ones that do have it, the brand lets you return it to any store for recycling or store credit. 

BKIND

Founded on the interest in natural cosmetics and knowledge around microbiology, BKIND uses 100 percent recycled or Ocean-Bound plastic for most of its liquid products, with their shampoo bars relying on paper and compostable materials. The confetti they use for packaging is plantable too! 

Saicho

Founded by a couple who met whilst studying PhDs in Food Science, Saicho uses plastic-free packaging, using up to 80 percent of recycled materials in their boxes. And all of their bottles, whether full or 250 mL, are made of glass, which is infinitely recyclable.

Phlur

Inspired by memories and feelings, Phlur is a clean beauty brand actively committed to reducing its plastic and paper waste. Their perfume bottles are made with 20 percent recycled glass, and their cartons are FSC-certified paper sourced from responsibly managed forests.
