Civic Chefs

October 9, 2009

With some food travelling 2, 000 km before it reaches your mouth, why
eat a Texan tomato when good stuff is grown right here?

This month, 14
Quebec restaurants
show their support for sustainable eating by
creating menus for Localicious.
Tuck into Gaspésie scallops ($20.50) by Andiamo chef Jérôme Ferrer and
Bois Noirs farm sausages ($14.95) at Le
Cabaret du Roy
, or head to Sherbrookes Auguste
for Pudding Chomeur with maple syrup (prix fixe $35).

Its so easy being a locavore when someone else is cooking.

Proceeds going to WWF conservation projects; Localicious, until October
18, for a list of restaurants go to www.wwf.ca/localicious
