First up, Oakridge celebrates Hanukkah via its Celebration of Light, with a special candle lighting on December 18, 2017, in the East Galleria at 6 p.m. Presented in partnership with the Lubavitch Centre of British Columbia, that particular evening will include traditional treats like latkes, sufganiyot and gelt (read: potato pancakes, jelly doughnuts and, yum, chocolate coins) plus live music by the King David High School Jazz Band! Be sure, however, to stop by any time between December 12 and December 20, 2017, to see each of the giant menorah light up to mark the eight happy days of Hanukkah!
