When Ford contacted this editor to ask if we’d like to try a Ford for a
week, the answer was yes! A large SUV was much needed for a weekend away
or a trip to Ikea. But when the supply of SUV’s was short, and we were
offered a Ford Mustang GT instead, it took a long time (about 5
milliseconds) to opt for the totally most practical, fun car instead.
And there were no regrets, as this was a first time driving a car whose
sole purpose was speed and good looks (over practicality and gas
mileage, which are the main features of this editor’s current cars.)
The Sea to Sky highway was the perfect spot to test out the car, and
boy, were we impressed. Aside from a stall (gimme a break, I’ve only
been driving manual for a year!) this was possibly the most fun car
experience of our lives. Just don’t ask us about the gas bill.
