In a jam

September 21, 2012

There are few things more comforting than salty pickles and sweet
raspberry jam, but perhaps not on the same plate.

The jams,
spreads, relishes and pickles
from local preserver, Stasis are made
in small batches and use all-natural, local ingredients. Try the Ontario
Strawberry Cranberry Fruit Spread ($8) on your favourite slice of bread
(we love the challah from Harbord Bakery). The Ontario Heirloom Ketchup
($7) tastes delicious on pretty much anything and no dinner party should
be without Ontario black walnuts ($12) doused in honey.

Of course, every girl has her own food quirks, so if its pickles dipped
in jam for breakfast, then bon appetite! Athena Tsavliris
