Name that Tune

November 16, 2012

The Montreal music scene is alive and well and theres more to it than
just Arcade Fire.

The 7th edition of M
pour Montreal
kicked off yesterday and will be in high gear until
Sunday. Its mission? Showcase up-and-coming Canadian musical talent.

Bands like Mozarts Sister, Eight and a Half (a.k.a. 1/3 Broken Social
Scene and 2/3 The Stills), Plants and Animals and more will be playing
in a dozen or so venues for local music lovers and reps from
international festivals like Glastonbury and South by Southwest alike.
Bonus: A few international acts (including Icelands Of Monsters and Men,
pictured, and Frances Danger) have been thrown into the schedule for
good measure.

Look no further for front-row access to Montreals bustling music scene.
