Portland-based luxury home decor store Ann Sacks celebrated the grand opening of its first Canadian boutique last month: a 2,000 sq.ft. location in the Armoury Distinct (it’s right by Livingspace, Mint, and East India Carpets, y’know!).
The brand’s speciality is unique, beautiful tile and stone, including Beau Monde glass cut with water jets to produce stunning designs (mosaics, abstract florals and even palm leaves), 100 customized shades of hand-glazed Mexican tile and even Cowden Bell Italian-embossed leather tiles – which come in woven, alligator, and even goat skin finishes. The showroom is a veritable candy shop; you’ll be tempted to update your kitchen, walls, floors, and outdoor spaces this summer. If not in real life, at the very least on Ann Sacks’ five-screen digital wall, an addictive gadget which allows you to mix and match tile patterns in fantasy rooms.
