Best book launch ever? Maybe…
Jian Ghomeshi has a show on CBC Radio (newly syndicated in NYC) called Q,
and now he’s got a
book as well.
Although I haven’t had a chance to read the book yet, from what I
understand he chronicles his youth (the year 1982 to be exact)
through music. Specifically, through a Bowie obsession that he channels
to try and seduce women. That’s just about all I need to know about this
book to want to read it, so hopefully you feel the same way.
He wrote 1982
in a year, which makes me feel like I could just whip one out whenever I
feel like it. Which should probably be now. Any ideas? I only had a Joan
Jett obsession, and it’s actually never wavered. Nor did it do anything
to help me attract men. That’s not a good book.
So not only did he write a book, but he got to celebrate it on stage,
singing Psychokiller with the Arkells. Badass. Because if you forgot, he
also used to be the King
of Spain. OH- and Justin Trudeau was watching. Jesus Christ.
Congratulations, man.
