You can consider this event a choose-your-own-adventure kind of party located within the marshy creeks-turned vibrant industrial centre referred to as The Flats. The neighborhood hosts a giant interconnected party where you can experience more than 15 of Vancouver’s most prestigious, experimental and critically acclaimed commercial galleries. Peruse the various exhibitions at your own leisure or check out the scheduled programming of talks to learn more about the artists’ work.

Perhaps even get a commemorative tattoo? The innovative gallery Hot Art Wet City will be offering live tattooing throughout the day inspired by their current exhibition of works by artists Gwen D’arcy and Aaron White. Or, for something a little less permanent, nibble on divine samples by Beta5 Chocolates.

If you’re a live music and mini donuts fan, this event is for you. There is so much to listen to, see and eat at this annual event! Even if you don’t like mini donuts (how dare you!) you have got loads of options: beer gardens, shopping, photo booths, free samples, patios, art exhibitions, street performers, giveaways, climbing walls, 50 food truck options and face painting to name a few. And, it’s all conveniently presented in one straight line along 4th Avenue between Macdonald Street and Burrard Street. Among the many splendors that this event has to offer, perhaps the most intriguing is the promise of experiencing the world’s largest bean bag chair, which is currently on a worldwide tour.
