Van Houtte Coffee is taking your daily caffeine fix to an interactive
new level. I was lucky to spend a bright sunny morning with Marie-Claude
Dessureault and her assistan, Gabrielle discovering my coffee profile
and going through a full tasting and coffee cupping.
Unless you know a lot about coffee, the average person doesn’t know
exactly what kind of coffee they prefer. Perhaps they aren’t very picky
so they drink what ever is around or perhaps they know it when they
taste it. Van Houtte has made it super simple to discover your coffee

We started the cupping process with Marie-Claude preparing all of the
different beans that range from Mellow + Fruity to Bold + Woodsy. We let
the coffee absorb for a couple of minutes and started skimming off the
grounds that floated to the surface. We then tasted each coffee and I
discovered how each coffee built up in intensity and flavour. It was a
great experience to try, much like wine-tasting and they
even have a video where you can try it out with home. Perfect for an
afternoon brunch with other fellow coffee lovers.
