Word that disgraced former Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain dropped
$1,400 on a wastebasket for his office struck us as, frankly, a
complete waste.
In future, Mr. Thain may want to consider one these affordably chic
options for his rubbish:
Umbras
Metalla Can ($18, pictured) is simple and elegant plus we love the
playful red pop.
This Crate
and Barrel walnut waste can ($44.95) is meant for the washroom but
we think it works just as well for the boardroom.
Want the classic garbage can but fit for an office? Try IKEAs
Knodd ($16.99). Even Oscar the Grouch is a fan.
These sheer, semi-circular Pablo
Medina Wastebaskets ($52) are perfect desk-siders to store your used
paper until recycling day.
But enough trash talk for one day.
