Travel Toiletries 101

July 3, 2018

Without meaning to be dramatic, packing for vacay can come with a host of emotions. In short: holiday excitement can be squelched when considering how to fit every essential into a compact carry-on. While there are a number of packing hacks to help you squeeze in an extra T-shirt, there’s no budging when it comes to onboard liquid limits (FYI: airlines allow liquids, gels, and aerosols in containers up to 100 mL, and not more than a quart, in cabin; exact details here). To this end, purchasing travel-size toiletries—including our tried-and-true favourites, below—is your best bet for fuss-free flying. —Mackenzie Shand

tocca passport perfume collection. This sweet-smelling collection lets you try a new fragrance per vacation day without violating travel liquid limits. The set includes eight scents with bases ranging from Italian bergamot and crushed violet petals to a light citrus blend of lemon orpur and mandarin.

travel toiletries

bumble & bumble thickening shampoo and conditioner. Some hotels have decent complimentary shampoo and conditioning offerings; just as many do not. These mini options provide a thickening boost to thin strands—a.k.a., a vacation full of good hair days.

travel toiletries

pura botanicals body care sampler collection. This head-to-toe set includes a replenishing body cream, all-natural deodorant, fragrant hair mist, nourishing body treatment, skin recovery complex, tropical perfume mist and aromatherapy massage oil (all natural, non-toxic and handcrafted in Canada, to boot).

travel toiletries

brika dopp bag. As far as a vessel to contain all these travel toiletries, look no further than this cotton dopp bag, designed by Casey D. Sibley. Not only does it include ample space for all your essentials, its nylon interior makes it easy to wipe clean when your bronzer spills or your moisturizer springs a leak (blame it on the bumpy flight). Available in blue and yellow or purple and mint.
