Take a luxe trip down memory lane at the Louis Vuitton Time Capsule in Toronto.
This free (yes!) pop-up exhibition at Union Station, on to celebrate 35 years of the iconic brand’s presence in Canada, offers up a curated selection of the maison’s history—spanning more than 160 years—to remind fashion lovers of LV’s craft, innovation and savoir-faire. Our visit had us ogling legendary car and cabin trunks as well as steamer bags from late 1800s and early 20th century alongside newer designs, like Nicolas Ghesquière’s acclaimed handbags, ready-to-wear and footwear that take inspiration from the archives. We also said "bonjour" to a real-life Louis Vuitton artisan and checked out contemporary collaborations with Marc Jacobs, Takashi Murakami, Jeff Koons and Supreme.
On until September 30th, 2018, take in the house’s history and covetable designs before the capsule is sealed once more. —Julia Parfenyuk
