When it comes to can’t-miss spring events, we suggest putting Pig Out, happening at Covert Farms Family Estate in beautiful Oliver, B.C., at the very top of your to-do list.
On Saturday, May 5th, 2018, the awesome folks at Covert Farms will welcome more than 1,000 guests (tickets, available here, are just $65 for adults, $25 for students between 12 and 18 years old, and children under 12 are free) to their gorgeous South Okanagan property from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to take in entertainment from local musicians, a souvenir wine glass and piles of great food and wine, all highlighting a special Cinco de Mayo theme.
This totally family-friendly festival includes almost too many highlights to mention—think friendly farm animals, a giant bouncy pillow, piñatas and farm tours for the kids, plus lively cooking stations with talented Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country chefs like Jeff Van Geest from Miradoro at Tinhorn Creek, Jenna Pillon from Terrafina and Orlin Godfrey from Nk’Mip Cellars, whose pork-themed creations will pair perfectly with samplings from all 41 Oliver Osoyoos Winery Association members.
All of this food and fun framed by the breathtaking backdrop of McIntyre Bluff and Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country’s rolling hills and vineyards? Like we said, make sure you put it at the top of your spring to-do list (we’ll be there, providing a full reporting on our experience). In the meantime, find out how you can win tickets and accommodations to Pig Out below! —Vita Daily
