Face Time (for Mother’s Day)

May 9, 2018

What’s better than a facial? A Hungarian facial, like the one I received at a Nordstrom Vancouver pop-up hosted by Budapest-based beauty brand Omorovicza in March (psst: it’s back again next week).

The technique, more "dynamic" than a run-of-the-mill spa offering, turned out to be a bona fide massage for the face, with a trained technician performing a series of fabulous-feeling circles, swoops, half moons and figure eights across my chin, cheeks, forehead and decollage with deft fingers, all with the aim of moving fluids, sparking circulation and reducing inflammation to coax out that inner glow. Of course, good product helps, too, and Omorovicza has that in spades (my treatment included concentrates, creams and serums from the company’s "gold" and "blue diamond" collections to help lift, restore and hydrate my skin, though picks are customized to suit each client).

The best part? You can experience a Hungarian facial by an Omorovicza pro yourself, by booking an appointment on May 17th or 18th, 2018 (hint: this is a top-notch Mother’s Day present, self-gifted or not). Email winnie.zhong@nordstrom.com or call 604-699-2100 ext. 1422 (ask for Winnie) to make your request. —Noa Nichol
