Hi Erin! Who are you and what do you do!?

I’m the founder of Sparkle Media where I create content and brand growth strategies for my clients! I live in my Vancouver West End condo with my husband and pup.

How do you use your platform to impact those who follow you?

My favourite thing about being an "influencer" is the ability to form a community that I share ideas with. I’m big into sharing the reality of my life on Instagram stories as a way to connect with others. I’ll often talk about topics that resonate with my followers because they may be experiencing the same thing, which isn’t always the highlight reel. For me, it’s not all about portraying a vision of perfection. I also love to share marketing and Instagram tips with other bloggers and business owners who want to understand more about content creation and brand building, and Instagram is a great vessel for that, especially with the brand new IGTV!

What’s your top social-savvy tip?

Be genuine. It’s much easier to create content and share a life that is true to you! This will attract your following and tribe.

If you had to choose: flat lays or food photos?

Oh man. Are you asking me to choose a favourite child?! I like flat lays because there is such a variety of setups you can create for any circumstance and story you want to tell.

How are you spending your summer in the city (your city being Vancouver of course!)?

We JUST finished off our patio (as I type this, basically!), so we will spend time enjoying that, and our building outdoor pool. We’ve been under condo rainscreening for the last two summers, so this is a real treat! We also have an Okanagan getaway planned at Quail’s Gate to celebrate our anniversary in August. Love Kelowna in the summer!
