saks off 5th. This year, the discount designer retailer has partnered with Girls Inc. to create exclusive T-shirts in celebration of International Women’s Day. Saks Off 5th‘s Every Day is Women’s Day tees will be available from today to March 29th, 2019, and can be purchased online, with all proceeds benefiting Girls Inc.—a non-profit org that inspires girls to be strong, smart and bold via mentoring and research-based programs that equip girls with the skills to navigate through economic, gender, and social barriers.
benefit cosmetics. As a global brand with more than 90 percent of its workforce comprised of women, Benefit, on March 8th, is working to balance the scales by shutting down all 42 of its websites around the world and, in their place, providing resources women can use to brush up on their skills and empower themselves to fight for equality in the workplace. (They’ve also teamed up with Ailie Banks, an Australian illustrator and self-described mental health advocate and feminist, to create images for the campaign that reflect women and their resilience).
frank and oak. Committed to sustainability, equality and inclusion, fashion and lifestyle brand Frank And Oak is introducing Nice, a collab with cartoonist and graphic-novelist Liana Finck, to celebrate International Women’s Day. Finck’s drawings raise a magnifying glass to human behaviour, gender dynamics and social anxieties, and the three-piece collection features exclusive illustrations showcasing the experience of being a woman in the context of today’s world printed on Frank And Oak’s essential tee.
