Offering charcuterie boards, boxes and tables, these gorgeous creations are as appetizing as they are delicious–not to mention, perfect for your next gathering. We chatted with Graze founders Laura and Destiny about food, fun and their all-time favourite eats. Bon appetit! —Vita Daily
Hi Graze gals! You make, well, beautiful food. What does food mean to you, and why does it deserve to be treated so … elegantly?
We believe food is more than sustenance. It is a common bond that brings people together and provides a backdrop for some of the most connected times in our lives. We are so lucky to live in a place where we have access to so many fresh ingredients. We eat with our eyes first and always make sure it beautiful.
Charcuterie boards are a dime a dozen these days; what makes Graze’s offerings (boards, boxes and tables) different?
We believe that the Graze Company not only uses high-quality ingredients but also has a very definitive aesthetic. We work closely with our suppliers and have spent countless hours on tastings and design planograms. It not only has to taste good but it has to also look good. Our boards and boxes have all been custom made, which included months of trial and error during the design and manufacturing processes. It was critical to us to have a unique presentation to set us apart from the rest.
Tell us about some of the most "fun" projects/events you’ve worked on!
Of course, each project and event is fun to create. However, we would have to say that working with iconic brands such as Hublot, De Beers and Apple have been very flattering to say the least. The most fun project would have to be the contract with DNEG, an Oscar-winning VFX company. They were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish, and together we came up with a plan to build a Grazing Table for 500 guests! We built a 24-foot-long table, twice! It was nerve racking leading up to it, as it was the longest Grazing Table built to date but, with the help of our amazing team, the execution ran seamlessly.
What’s your number 1 food to graze on, and why?!
That’s easy. CHEESE! All day, every day. With so many varieties, textures and flavours, there just isn’t a more satisfying indulgence.
