So it is with Collection 007 by Taikan—a range that sees the Vancouver-based accessories designer creating pieces with new materials, palettes and silhouettes (think bold red, vibrant green and bright purple in play with nostalgia-inducing vintage fabrics like corduroy, poly-nylon and 3M). The best part? Not only can these elements can be found in familiar silhouettes like the versatile Sacoche sac, but also in the newest members of the Taikan family, Shoki (a restructured take on a classic day pack that you can wear across your chest or around your waist) and Stinger (a small and lightweight portable pack for wear over your shoulder, across your chest or even on your hip).
According to the company, the collection "harmonizes our take on the past with the modern-day needs of the present, pushing us further into our future self. Collection 007 is sure to pay homage to the carefree moments in life through its sentimental colour-stories and accessible silhouettes."
