There is nothing more satisfying than cold brewing your own coffee at home, and the Van Houtte Cold Brew Coffee Maker ($60) let’s us all do just that! Use this clever tool to prep up to three cups in your fridge while you go about your day; just steep 2 or 3 ounces of ground coffee in 3 cups of cold, filtered water in the cold-brew coffee maker for 12 to 24 hours. Oh, and be sure to try the following recipe for this summer’s hottest (or, depending on how you look at it, coolest) coffee trend: Dalgona whipped coffee! —Vita Daily
Choco-orange Dalgona Iced Coffee
6 tbsp Van Houtte Instant Coffee
6 tbsp granulated sugar
6 tbsp hot water
2 tsp orange juice
2 tsp cocoa powder
Ice cubes
2 cups milk
2 pinches orange zest
2 pinches grated nutmeg
Combine the first five ingredients together in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Beat them together for 3-5 minutes with a hand-held electric mixer on high speed, until the mixture forms a mousse that makes stiff peaks. You may alternatively use a whisk, and beat for 10-12 minutes.Fill two mugs half-way with ice, and pour the milk over the ice. Top the milk with the mousse and garnish with the orange zest and nutmeg.
