Before the world went south, our friends at Knix were planning the launch of an epic contest that would see one lucky winner get to be part of the brand’s 2020 swim campaign, shot in Tulum with influencers like Sarah Nicole Landry, Jillian Harris and Sasha Exeter.
And then COVID-19 hit, and the shoot was cancelled. In fact, a live photoshoot of any kind was out of the question. Knix had to get creative and pivot their strategy. The brand cancelled the trip to Mexico and, instead of choosing one winner from the pool of 11,000 applicants, Knix selected 25 women to be the stars of their 2020 swim campaign. The result? Real women, in real life. Photos from backyards, bathtubs, beaches and even doorsteps—all taken from the comfort of their homes, and proving what Knix has always believed: that every woman can be a swimsuit model.
