In the spirit of getting through this together, we’re happy to share an amazing initiative created by War Child—which works to protect children from the brutal impact of war—to support and empower the most vulnerable communities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Covid-19 represents a grave threat to vulnerable children, women and families, who are already recovering from the shock of war and conflict, and because of this War Child is taking urgent action to support communities like Afghanistan, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo and others by providing face masks, food, hygiene kits, handwashing stations and educational programs. Along with War Child frontline staff and some famous celebrities including Troian Bellisario, Elizabeth Moss, Amanda Seyfried, Sarah McLachlan and more, War Child has created a video to draw attention to its global response during this critical time and appeal for donations—they are trying to reach a global goal of $35,000!
