Unveiled during Milan Fashion Week, Weekend Max Mara‘s On Set capsule collection, created by Oscar-winning costume designer Gabriella Pescucci, brings the stage to life. The best part? Pieces from the range are on sale for a limited time at two of Weekend Max Mara’s Lower Mainland locations (Metrotown and Pacific Centre).
First, more about the clothes. With three of her major works—The Age of Innocence, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and TV series The Borgias—in mind, Pescucci also took inspo from the sea. A cotton skirt, for instance, is printed with a pattern of shells and coral branches, and a pair of sandals are embellished with coral-shaped resin elements and shell patterns. She also reinterpreted the crinolines seen in director Martin Scorsese’s The Age of Innocence into embroidered cutaway shirts and bell sleeves, plus a skirt with an incredible work of woven laces.
Now, the sale (read: the starring part)! To celebrate its Metrotown and Pacific Centre stores’ reopening, Weekend Max Mara is offering, for a limited time, up to 50 per cent off its Spring/Summer 2020 range. Even better: for one week only (until Thursday, May 21st) buy four pieces and enjoy 50 per cent off your entire bill! (Discount applies to original retail prices. Some exceptions apply. See in-store for details.) Whether you’re looking to rebuild your seasonal wardrobe, or wish to bring a little drama from the stage to your own life, it’s definitely time to spring into action while this extraordinary Weekend Max Mara sale is on! —Vita Daily
