While we may see Pride celebrations postponed or shifted to virtual, brands are still coming out with limited-edition collections so that we can show our support and celebrate equality. Wear these top five style picks with, well, pride. —Vicki Duong
dr. martens. A company known for supporting the LGBTQ2+ community, Dr. Martens has this year released a version of its iconic 1460 boot in a Pride version ($200), plus donated $25,000 to The Trevor Project. Decked out with multi-coloured rainbow stitching, this boot boasts a rainbow heel loop and an embroidered rainbow flag.
asos x glaad. For the past three years, ASOS has created a collection of unisex clothing in conjuction with GLAAD to support acceptance, with 100 per cent of net profits donated directly to GLAAD. Wear the Unity Shirt ($39) knowing that your outfit doesn’t just say a lot of good, it does a lot of good, too.
ugg. The most popular style of Uggs as of late are the Fluff Yeah ($125)—the perfect combo of slipper and sandal. Recently, it got a colourful update for a special-edition pride capsule and, to compliment the limited release, Ugg has donated $125,000 to GLAAD.
levi’s. This year Levi’s has teamed up with artists and activists to share a clear message: use your voice! 100 per cent of net proceeds from Levi’s Pride Collection will go to OutRight Action International. One of our favourite pieces from the range: the oversized trucker jacket ($148) tie-dyed with the colours of the Transgender Pride Flag.
converse. Get your little ones into the Pride spirit with Converse. Partnering with It Gets Better, this collection also offers a variety of customizations to design your own unique shoe. Our personal fave are the hightop Chuck Taylors ($75) with a rainbow motif and rainbow soles.
