In anticipation of a very important holiday (National Vermouth Day, June 19th), Ampersand Distilling Co. is launching the second batch of its limited-edition Imperative Dry Vermouth in collab with Rathjen Cellars. This signature release is crafted using Blanc de Noir grapes and wild-harvested botanicals, including wormwood (sourced from the family’s five-acre organic farm), orange peel, cardamom, roasted dandelion root, coriander and more. The result: a complex blend with pops of floral notes, shining on its own or an intriguing addition to one’s cocktail—like the Bamboo Cocktail, outlined below. Cheers! —Vita Daily
Ampersand Bamboo Cocktail
2 oz Fino Sherry
2 oz Imperative Dry Vermouth
3 dashes Angostura bitters
3 dashes orange bitters
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
