Forget the fabulous views of Stanley Park, Coal Harbour, Vancouver’s North Shore and the Lion’s Gate Bridge—our new reason to dine at Five Sails, located on the “R” level of the Canada Place Convention Centre adjacent to the Pan Pacific Hotel, is dessert!
The restaurant has unveiled its brand-new dessert menu, and it’s one of the largest list of sweets we have ever seen. All made in-house, these post-dinner (or just-because) dishes range from coconut panna cotta to pistachio and raspberry mille feuille to a trio of profiterolles (among many more). Definitely try the eponymous Five Sails Grand Marnier Soufflé, which takes 20 minutes to prepare (so you know it’s going to be good) and comes served with vanilla ice cream and orange zest. Still peckish? Take a box of five exquisite Michel Cluizel chocolates to go.
Trust us, this is one “sweet endings” menu that’s good enough to skip supper for! —Vita Daily
